Hello cookies,

Sorry for the lack of posts. I am very new to the whole writing posts. I'm more of a kiss and tell gal when it comes to my makeup. So anyways this week, I turned to my friends for next post and the clear winner was the Korres Lip Butter ($16) in Pomegranate- yes I know, I love Mecca A LOT!

Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate

I first saw this product when my cousin from overseas actually wanted to buy it after previously buying it and running out. She actually wanted to stock up on it which got me intrigued. WHY WAS SHE SPENDING $16 ON LIP BUTTER. And not just one, one in every flavour. I decided to try it out for myself and bought ONE and opted for Pomegranate which looks like a deep pink flavour but when applied to my lips looks natural maybe more like it has life to it. If pink is not your colour they have 5 other flavours/colours from a clear/neutral lip butter to a deep violet/red colour each with their own scent. In terms of the scent, it's not too overpowering but it's definitely there and again you could choose the according to your own preference. I did taste it, I do get a hint of that pomegranate taste but again nothing strong that it lingers in your mouth but it does have that flavour.

The lip butter itself as a lip butter is pretty effective. It keeps my lips soft and even when the butter has dried out I don't find myself grabbing it to reapply as my lips remain feeling soft and supple.

Without lip butter.
With Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate.

Overall if you're willing to spend $16 on a decent lip butter I would definitely recommend Korres but in saying that there are many other lip balms/butters that are available in the market for cheaper price which do the job.

Hot or Not

85° - mainly because of the price in that I could buy something similar from another brand at a lower cost.

JASMINE'S
COOKING TIPS

#1

Look around, chances are the product are produced by many different brands. Expensive doesn't necessarily mean better.

#2

Research, research, research. Some products have different effects on people but it still helps getting background knowledge. Ask people you know and trust, they might have different skin tone/types but on products where that doesn't matter it helps to have an honest opinion/

#3

Try before you buy. Most places let you try something before you buy it. Or ask them to put it on you. You don't want to spend $100 on a product only to find it doesn't match your skintone.

#4

Know their return/exchange policies in the chance that you do get the wrong colour or the product isn't right for you cause it's just making you break out. You don't want to end up with $100 just sitting on your shelf wasting away.
